Take a short bus ride into the train station. Look for times on Google maps, but both run regularly.

2 min walk to the train station to take you into Perth City past cottesloe and Subiaco

This trip is super pretty along the coast line but does take around 30-40 mins to get to the city. Good to use to get to beaches like Cottesloe and North Freo or to get to Subiaco and West Perth.
