During this 2.5-hour workshop you’ll learn how to temper chocolate and, from it, craft 2 types of Belgian chocolates. Pralines: The most famous Belgian chocolate, consisting of a delicate chocolate shell with a creamy filing. You’ll learn how to make both the shell and the filling from scratch! Mendiants: Chocolate discs studded with dried fruits. Crispy and delicious! You’ll make at least 30 chocolates, which you can either eat on the spot or take home to family and friends. With our easy technique and chocolate theory, you’ll be able to make your own chocolates once you return home! NOTE: we take up to 20 participants per workshop due to the popularity of this activity, you work at 2 or 3 participants per chocolate machine . En natuurlijk vertellen we je waar je de beste Belgische bieren kunt krijgen (tegen een eerlijke prijs). Wij dekken ongeveer 3 km. De tour is volledig rolstoel- en kinderwagen bereikbaar maar er is wel rekening mee dat Brugge vooral stenen straten heeft. Dit is een gratis wandeltocht, wat betekent dat je alleen vooraf kleine online reserveringskosten betaalt. Aan het einde van de tour kun je zelf beslissen hoeveel de ervaring je waard is.

You will join me in my workshop in the heart of Old Bruges and learn to handmake your own sterling silver ring. During our time you will have hands on experience of forging, shaping and finishing your own silver ring. First you will choose which finger you would like the ring for, measure your silver and cut to size using a handsaw. Next you will choose from a wide selection of hand stamps to add a custom message onto the inside of the ring. This could be a name, date or your favourite beer! You will learn how to hammer the silver into a ring shape using mallets and a triblet. I will then heat and solder your ring while explaining the process of heating and joining silver together. Next I will show you how to add textures and markings to your ring. This is your unique ring and your time to really show your creative side! The last step will be to choose the finish and polish; this could be highly polished to add some sparkle, a satin finish or even a rough forged look to your ring. Finally you will have your own silver ring to keep, handmade by you in the Heart of Old Bruges, a fabulous and unique way to remember your trip to our magical city. Other things to note No previous experience of jewellery tools or working with silver is needed to enjoy the workshop and make a ring. We will use 925 sterling silver for your ring. Zin om enkele prachtige wijken van Brugge te ontdekken? We fietsen langs bekende parels zoals het paleis van de heren van Gruuthuse en het begijnhof. De fiets biedt je de mogelijkheid om heel wat kleine steegjes, pittoreske bruggen en charmante pleinen te ontdekken. Op het pad van de stadsomwalling maken we een mooie lus rond de historische binnenstad. De oude stadsmuren vormen een groene gordel. We fietsen er langs de windmolens en de oude stadspoorten zoals de Gent- en de Kruispoort. Eén van mijn favoriete plekken is de Sint-Anna-wijk. We doorkruisen de lanen van deze charmante buurt. Om elke bocht ontdek je een verrassend uitzicht. Brugge is tevens gekend voor de kleine, witgekalkte godshuisjes. Ze zijn veelal geclusterd rond een gezellige binnentuin. Terug in de binnenstad, fietsen we langs de schitterende Groenerei. De oude bruggen en historische gevels worden er weerspiegeld in het water. Clay is a very organic material and let's you forget about anything else, it also has it's restrictions, which I will help you overcome.  You'll be making your own collage, one or more, depending on the time, I'm flexible as the clay! ;-) by using all kinds of shapes and by adding your own handwriting. I will help you 'erase' faults and make an interesting collage. You can put a lot of simbolism, figurative elements and thoughts into it. Of course there will be time to reflect at a cup of tea or coffee or juice with some Belgian cookies, all our senses need to be adressed! At the end you'll get to choose which colourtones you would like it to be coloured in and I will send it to your home, shipping price not included.
