Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Adventure. Experience the waters off Key Largo as a local during this 3 hour tour in the mangroves off Key Largo. Kayak through crystal clear waters as we learn about the mangroves and their importance to the ecosystem of the Florida Keys. Learn about the birds, fish, turtles, and manatees that frequent these areas. For those that are interested snorkel through some of the tour as you experience the world under the mangroves as well (snorkel equipment is required)

Check in is at the boat at 9:10 am This is a 6 hour trip on the water! We will begin this HONEST ECO experience on a spacious 42' sailing catamaran. With 1,092 Square Feet of deck space, plenty of room to relax. We will depart from the dock located at the Historic Seaport. Sail out to a mangrove island that we can only reach in a shallow draft boat. You will learn about our Key West ecosystem as you Kayak through Mangrove Islands. We will explore the distinct habitats of the Key West National Wildlife Refuge and learn about our diverse animals and plants We will head to another one of my favorite spots to snorkel on the reef, coral heads or a sponge garden. I will take you to the best spot with the best visibility that day. My mate will be your guide, leading you around a calm snorkeling spot. I will point out animals that make our ecosystem unique and answer any questions. I will provide a lunch spread from our favorite organic cafe Date and Thyme. If you are driving down the keys the day of the trip just remember it is a road that is only one way in and one way out. One accident on that road can hold you up for the day. I can not issue refunds if you miss the boat. It is best to ride a bike in Key West or take a cab. The marinas parking lot is around $20 to $30 for the day. We will head out on the water to an area which provides a year round home for about 200 wild Bottlenose Dolphins. This is my moment to share the wonders of these marine mammals with you, while always operating my vessel in a manner that is safe and respectful of the dolphins and their need for space. With the right know-how I can usually find dolphins in under an hour and in calm waters. After observing the dolphins many different behaviors from the boat we will head to one of my favorite spots to snorkel with sponges, coral heads or a patch reef. I will take you to the best place with the best visibility that day. My mate will be your guide, leading you around a calm snorkeling spot and point out animals that make our ecosystem unique and answer any questions that you have. We'll head out to the lower Florida Keys inshore/ backcountry where we'll fish for a variety of species such as Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, Shark, Barracuda, Snapper, Sea Trout and a plethora of others utilizing light tackle (rods equipped with spinning reels) in the gin clear waters of the shallows and flats. There will only be the three of us so you'll have a personalized guided trip and my undivided attention whether your asking questions about our unique ecosystem and its surroundings or the techniques and equipment we'll be using to stalk and catch fish on the most fertile and pristine fishing grounds on planet Earth! We'll typically be fishing depths of two feet to eight feet deep so the visual experience is like nowhere else in the continental United States. Once we finish our excursion you'll be brought back to our original departure point and you can enjoy some some excellent island eats and tropical cocktails like the locals do at the famous Looe Key Tiki Bar & Grill on Ramrod Key. There's also a gift shop on property so you can pick up some souvenirs for yourself, friends or family members! Hi fellow guests, I'm going to give you a step-by-step General account of what our day would be. We would meet at the boat at 7:00 a.m. We then will travel either local or offshore for anywhere between 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on what species we've decided to go after with you. At this point we'll either troll or we will deep drop or anchor depending on the species. Regardless I guarantee you will have your day catching many fish and having time of your life. Fishing is one of the few activities that human beings perform that is completely healthy and connected to Nature. We will fill the boat with as many fish legally possible and we will weigh them and bring them back to Doc with you and we will fillet, ice them and put them in bags for your consumption yum. We will go offshore fishing in Islamorada for various species so strap in and hold on. Our goal is to introduce you to a new type and line of fishing and entertainment that my boat and the captain and all the mates are trained and accustomed to that very unique we hope to bring you into a place that you may never have been before in nature. We may even observe porpoise and manatees in their protected natural habitat. Lodging also available 20% tip required complete for crew.

We will enjoy fun in the sun in the Southernmost City. Our afternoon will consist of a couple of spots to cool off in the water (pool and/ or ocean). Enjoy some live music. Sip some beverages and maybe try out some tasty treats this town is known for. This tour can either start or end at the party pool. Your call as I close this off to others once you book. This becomes a private experience so that we can go at your pace and with the winds as they say. You will find some spots that others will normally just walk by and therefore your call weather we stay and linger or you make a note to come back later. Wear your sunscreen and have shoes that can get wet and also provide comfort as we do our stroll. The waters of Key West beckon!!
